These portfolios are now closed to new investors.

Built on the success of our Advisory Managed portfolios we also offer a low-cost passive investment option via our Index Portfolios. The portfolios are actively managed from an asset allocation point of view, but exposure to asset classes and markets is achieved using tracker funds that aim to replicate asset class or market performance at minimal cost and without individual manager risk.

We use a dedicated asset allocation model from the award winning Dynamic Planner which is reviewed annually in November, with a strong track record of success we are confident that these low cost portfolios will provide attractive returns over the long term.

When we review the tracker funds used in the portfolio our key considerations are the managers ability to accurately track the benchmark index and the costs of doing so. Just like the Advisory Managed portfolios, increased risk preferences within the portfolios are expressed through increased exposure to equities and other risk assets.

What is included in the Index Portfolio Service?

• Access to Five portfolios each aligned to a target risk/return asset allocation model.
• A strategic approach to investing money, driven by our Investment Committee and our in-house research team.
• Portfolios that are adjusted quarterly to rebalance back to the intended asset-allocation agreed by the Committee,  ensuring that there is no over weighting in a particular asset class/sector/market leading to a change in overall portfolio risk.
• Funds that are selected on a fiercely independent best-of-breed basis: Hammond Raggett is not tied to any fund manager, bank or insurance company

NOTE: Our Advisory Index Portfolios are currently available to existing investors via a limited number of platforms and will eventually be closed across all platforms. Investors wishing to invest in a managed Index solution may do so via the Discretionary Portfolios available through the A J Bell platform.
